• Skinheads in ‘69 were high school kids how hung together in CREWS for protection. Most of them could’t see the skinhead thing lasting much longer than the completion of school. They hated pakistanis… most of them were vandals. It’s a violent subculture man… That’s just the way it is. Every subculture has to have something they love AND hate in order for things to work. Besides, 1969 was over 40 years ago. I remember when the ninja turtles movies came out in the early nineties. Even though I was young it doesn’t seem that long ago to me… Even if I had kids right now, the generation that went to see all those movies in theaters are going to be in their 60’s by the time my kids reached my age. You think they’re going to want to watch the teenage mutant ninja turtles with me?? Fuck no. Just like in another 40 years no kid is going to want to listen to old ass music from 1969. Even origional skinheads understood that concept. The scene has to develope and change in order to draw more members. We can argue all day and night about who’s right and who’s wrong, but you’re blind if you deny the politics or the violence (past present or future) plays a big part in things.
